Voting
Any registered voter can vote. If you are not registered to vote, learn about how to register.
You can either vote in person during early voting or on election day or by mail-in ballot.
Early Voting
Thursday, June 11, 2025 through Thursday, June 18, 2025. Each early voting center will be open continuously from 7 am to 8 pm each day. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote.
Election Day
Tuesday, June 23, 2025, you must vote at your assigned polling place. All election day polling places are open continuously from 7 am until 8 pm on. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote.

Drop Box and Polling Locations
Talbot County has two (2) drop box locations for mail in ballots, one (1) early voting location and ten (10) election day polling locations.

Ballot Accounting
Members of the local board meet to as the "local board of canvassers" to review and count mail-in
and provisional ballots. These meetings are known as "canvasses."
2026 Primary Canvas Dates
Mail-in Ballot Canvass Begins - Monday, June 1, 2026 at 9:30 a.m.
No results will be available until after 8:00 p.m. on election night.

Risk Limiting Audit - TBD (deadline Wednesday, July 22, 2026)
* These dates are tentative. Canvassing will continue on these dates only if a minimum number of ballots have been received for processing.
** Certification will occur after all ballots have been canvassed and the verification of vote count is completed.
No Election results will be available until after 8:00 p.m. on election night.
