JURY ANNOUNCEMENT 

 

 

WELCOME JURORS

 

Your Terms of Service is Monday, April 1, 2024 through and including Friday, April 26, 2024

April Trial Jurors

 There will be NO Jury on Monday, April 15th through and including Friday, April 26th.

This will conclude April Trial Jurors. Please note, your name will go back into the Jury pool and

could possibly be called as a juror later this year. 

 

May Trial Jurors

Please check in after 4:30 pm on Friday, April 26th to see if there will be Jury on Monday, April 29th. 

 

 

 2023/2024 Grand Jurors:

There will be NO Grand Jury for the month of April. This will conclude your Grand Jury service.  

 

2024/2025 Grand Jurors 

Please check back after 4:30pm on April 30th to see who will need to be present for Grand Jury on Thursday, May 2nd.

Please include documentation as we will respond to your email with an approval or denial. Jurors it is very important that you inform us of ALL appt of dates needed to be excused. Untimely notices can be denied.

 

If you no longer live in Talbot County, please email us a updated drivers license's or any document to verify you are no longer in Talbot County.

 

 Please make sure to fill out your qualification form either by mail or online at www.mdcourts.gov/jury to qualify for Jury.

Health Precautions Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
All Maryland Courts take public health and safety seriously and are regularly coordinating with state and local health officials to obtain information about COVID-19. Policies have been implemented to decrease the risk of spreading the virus for all court personnel and visitors to the courthouse.

·        Any person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or who has been exposed to a person with COVID-19 and is within the quarantine period, may not enter a Judicial Branch facility.

·        Any person, regardless of vaccination status, who seeks entrance to judicial facilities may be subjected to COVID-19 screening questions and non-contact temperature checks where available.

PROPER DRESS ATTIRE IS REQUIRED

NO SHORTS, LONG PANTS ARE REQUIRED

POSSESSION AND USE OF CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE LIMITED OR PROHIBITED IN DESIGNATED COURT AREAS OF THE COURT FACILITY, UNLESS THE COURT EXPRESSIVELY GRANTS PERMISSION IN A SPECIFIC INSTANCE.

 Talbot County values the health, safety and well-being of those who live, work or visit our county and Circuit Court has been working closely with the Health Department to ensure the best possible practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  For any juror who has not been vaccinated and wishes to receive COVID-19 vaccination please call Talbot County Health Department's Vaccination Hotline: 410-819-5641. 

The Health Department will gladly schedule you in to be vaccinated.  You can have your appointment fast tracked by mentioning that you have been called up for jury service.

IF YOUR SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A FUTURE TERM (MONTH), YOU WILL RECEIVE ANOTHER SUMMONS/FORM, WHICH YOU MUST COMPLETE AND RETURN, WITH A NEW REPORTING NUMBER FOR THAT MONTH.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN EXCUSED FOR SPECIFIC DATES WITHIN THIS TERM (MONTH), YOU WILL NOT NEED TO REPORT ON THOSE DATES.
