Trial Jurors

 

 Welcome Trial Jurors, your terms of service is May 2nd 2022 through and including June 3rd 2022.

 

 There is no Jury next week, May 16th - May 20th. Please call after 4:30pm on Friday, May 20th to see if your Juror number needs to report for the following week.

 

Please note mask are now optional to be worn in the courthouse. 

 

 

 Grand Jurors

There will be no Grand Jury the month of May. 

 

Health Precautions Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
All Maryland Courts take public health and safety seriously and are regularly coordinating with state and local health officials to obtain information about COVID-19. Policies have been implemented to decrease the risk of spreading the virus for all court personnel and visitors to the courthouse.

·        Any person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or who has been exposed to a person with COVID-19 and is within the quarantine period, may not enter a Judicial Branch facility.

·        As of Monday August 9, 2021, face masks are required to be worn by all (except children aged 2 and under), regardless of vaccination status, in all Maryland state courthouses and judicial facilities.

·        Any person, regardless of vaccination status, who seeks entrance to judicial facilities may be subjected to COVID-19 screening questions and non-contact temperature checks where available.

NO SHORTS, LONG PANTS ARE REQUIRED

POSSESSION AND USE OF CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE LIMITED OR PROHIBITED IN DESIGNATED COURT AREAS OF THE COURT FACILITY, UNLESS THE COURT EXPRESSIVELY GRANTS PERMISSION IN A SPECIFIC INSTANCE.

 Talbot County values the health, safety and well-being of those who live, work or visit our county and Circuit Court has been working closely with the Health Department to ensure the best possible practices to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.  For any juror who has not been vaccinated and wishes to receive COVID-19 vaccination please call Talbot County Health Department's Vaccination Hotline: 410-819-5641. 

The Health Department will gladly schedule you in to be vaccinated.  You can have your appointment fast tracked by mentioning that you have been called up for jury service.

IF YOUR SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A FUTURE TERM (MONTH), YOU WILL RECEIVE ANOTHER SUMMONS/FORM, WHICH YOU MUST COMPLETE AND RETURN, WITH A NEW REPORTING NUMBER FOR THAT MONTH.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN EXCUSED FOR SPECIFIC DATES WITHIN THIS TERM (MONTH), YOU WILL NOT NEED TO REPORT ON THOSE DATES.
