Summary:
The Café Attendant provides exceptional front-of-house service to golfers and guests. You will report directly to the Executive Chef / Café Manager. Responsibilities include taking food and drink orders, basic meal preparation, handling point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining a spotless dining space.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet golfers warmly and provide quick, polite service.
Order Processing: Use the POS system to accurately log food and beverage selections.
Food & Beverage Prep: Prepare standard grill/snack bar items and hot/cold drinks.
Financial Handling: Collect cash and card payments while balancing the register.
Facility Upkeep: Clean tables, sanitize the counter area, and restock grab-and-go items.
Operations: Execute designated opening and closing checklists faithfully.
Safety Protocols: Follow local health department sanitation rules and alcohol control laws.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous work in a café, kitchen, or customer service setting is preferred.
Personality: Energetic, outgoing attitude with a passion for helping people.
Pace: Ability to stay organized and calm during busy multi-tasking periods.
Communication: Clear verbal skills to coordinate orders smoothly with kitchen staff.
Etiquette: Basic understanding or willingness to learn proper golf course etiquette.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old if handling alcoholic beverage sales.
Work Environment:
Environment: Primarily indoors at the main café clubhouse, with occasional outdoor teamwork.
Hours: Flexible, seasonal schedules including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
