Landscape & Facilities Technician

Position Reporting: Facilities Division Manager
Summary:
The Landscape and Facilities Technician assist in maintaining the appearance of Talbot County properties by performing routine maintenance and repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Mulch, rake, and mow as directed
· Spackle and Paint
· Make small repairs as directed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of one year’s building maintenance and landscaping experience.
· Possess a valid Maryland Driver’s License.
· Must be able to work outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions and inclement weather as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Basic maintenance knowledge such as painting, landscaping, and mechanical skills.
· Ability to interact with County personnel and the public in a professional and courteous manner.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends for projects that must be done after normal working hours.
· Ability to work without close supervision.
· Ability to work in a safe manner.
· Ability to operate all types of equipment, i.e., leaf blowers, various landscaping equipment.
