The event is designed to connect citizens with trusted local professionals and organizations who can help guide them through the homebuying process and other housing-related needs.

The Housing Fair will feature a wide range of vendors, including lenders, realtors, insurance providers, and housing agencies. Participants will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with experts, ask questions, and learn more about available programs and services.

Participating organizations include Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® (MSBR), Easton Affordable Housing Board, Joseph W. In addition to vendor engagement, the event will include presentations from the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), offering insights into available resources, financing options, and pathways to homeownership.

Council Member Keasha Haythe will provide remarks during the event on her own personal housing journey.

“Since being elected to the Talbot County Council in 2022, one of my priorities has been to initiate programs and resources around housing,” said Haythe. “Hosting our first housing resource fair is about opening doors for residents who may not know where to begin on their homeownership journey. We want first-time homebuyers in Talbot County to feel informed, supported, and confident as they take this important step toward building stability and generational wealth.”

The Housing Fair is free and open to the public. Residents at all stages of their housing journey are encouraged to attend. Complimentary lunch will be provided for attendees.
