Talbot County Government is excited to announce the launch of EngageTalbot, a new online platform designed to foster community engagement and collect public input on county initiatives. This interactive site empowers residents to share their thoughts, ideas, and feedback on topics ranging from public safety and environmental conservation to recreational programming and comprehensive planning.
“With EngageTalbot, we’re making it easier than ever for residents to have their voices heard,” said Sarah Kilmon, Communications Coordinator. “This platform reflects the County’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and ensuring that community input plays a central role in shaping Talbot County’s future.”
The first project available for public comment, the 2024 Report of the Review, can be viewed at https://engage.talbotcountymd.gov/rotr. Later this year, EngageTalbot will play a key role in gathering public input for the County’s Comprehensive Plan update.
The user-friendly site is accessible 24/7, providing everyone the opportunity to contribute at their convenience. Comments are reviewed to ensure they align with community guidelines before being published.
The launch of EngageTalbot coincides with the introduction of GovDelivery, the County’s new email and text notification platform. GovDelivery allows residents to stay updated on County news, events, and initiatives. Individuals can register at https://talbotcountymd.gov/subscribe and customize their experience to receive updates about topics they care about.
“Public input is vital to the success of any community initiative. EngageTalbot and GovDelivery represent a significant step forward in how we connect with our residents,” said County Council President, Chuck Callahan. “These tools create opportunities for meaningful dialogue and ensure that everyone can stay informed and engaged with Talbot County initiatives.”
