EASTON — On Tuesday, Talbot County Council members approved two requests from the public works department for design services in preparation for road improvements in Easton.

The council approved a recommendation to award about $347,000 in design services for road improvements on Black Dog Alley. The engineering firm, Wallace-Montgomery, will complete the design for road widening and drainage improvements.

Wallace-Montgomery is designing those improvements for Black Dog Alley’s stretch between Matthewstown Road and Dover Road. The portion of the design approved Tuesday is just under a mile and is meant to mitigate increased traffic.
