Public Works provides services to enhance wastewater treatment, to efficiently recycle, collect trash and dispose of waste, and to design and construct County infrastructure and provide innovative solutions that maintain a high quality of life for residents and visitors of Talbot County.

Talbot County, in partnership with the Town of Easton and the Mid-Shore Regional Council, has completed a multi-phase project to widen and strengthen Goldsborough Neck Road, enhancing safety, improving access, and supporting future economic growth tied to the Mistletoe Hall Commerce-Business Park and Talbot Commerce Park.

On Monday, September 22, 2025, between approximately 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., the Talbot County Sanitary District responded to a sewage discharge at 25699 St. Michaels Road, near the St. Michaels (Region II) Wastewater Treatment Plant. The overflow was caused by a cracked force main pipe and was quickly contained and repaired.

Recycle Bins at Perry Cabin Fields Removal Authorized

Due to ongoing concerns about the recycling bins at Perry Cabin Park, specifically, their incompatibility with nearby sport field activities and repeated misuse including household trash, Talbot County Council has authorized Maryland Environmental Services (MES) to remove the bins from the park’s lot.
