On November 16, 2023, Talbot County Sheriff Joe Gamble and Talbot County Department of Health Officer Dr. Maria Maguire joined Special Secretary of Opioid Response, Emily Keller, in the Community Overdose Action Town Hall Series hosted by the Opioid Operational Command Center, held at the Talbot County Free Library.

During the meeting, Sheriff Gamble and Dr. Maguire provided details on substance use related programming, as well as an update on the current challenges regarding the overdose and opioid crisis in the County and the Shore. Special Secretary of Opioid Response, Emily Keller, provided an overview on state-wide efforts to address the issue. After the remarks, the audience was invited to engage in discussion and ask questions.
