Second Public Hearing November 7 for 61.2 MW Solar Plant Proposed for Talbot County

Local residents and other interested members of the public are invited to comment on a proposal by Crockett Solar l, LLC to construct a 61.2 MW solar facility in Talbot County. The hearing will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7 p.m. before Chief Public Utility Law Judge Chuck McLean, at the Cordova Fire Department, 11864 Kittys Corner Road in Cordova. The first public comment hearing in this case was held July 15, 2024. Read more

May 4th Rabies Clinic a Success Despite Rain

The Talbot County Health Department held its low-cost rabies vaccination clinic for pets on Saturday, May 4th at the Environmental Health building. In total, 46 dogs and 36 cats received the rabies vaccine at the drive-thru clinic. Read more

The training was provided by Rachael Crawford, RN, Maternal Child Health at the Talbot County Health Department, and Stephanie Blades, RN, Clinical Educator in Women and Children’s Health at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health.
