Talbot’s FiRST™ Brings Bold Mental Health Solutions to County’s First Responders

The steering committee of Talbot FiRST™ First Responder Support Team recently presented its program to the Talbot County Council. Talbot FiRST™ brings together multiple agencies and partners to support the mental health of all its first responders in Talbot County − launching a robust peer support team that creates a pathway for immediate access to For All Seasons’ trauma-certified mental health services and works intentionally to build in proactive resiliency training. Talbot County Implements Burn Ban Effective October 25, 2024

The Talbot County Council has enacted an Administrative Resolution imposing a complete ban on all open-air burning throughout the county. This burn ban will take effect on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. and will remain in place for 30 days, expiring on Sunday, November 24, 2024 unless extended or terminated by a subsequent resolution. Second Public Hearing November 7 for 61.2 MW Solar Plant Proposed for Talbot County

Local residents and other interested members of the public are invited to comment on a proposal by Crockett Solar l, LLC to construct a 61.2 MW solar facility in Talbot County. The hearing will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7 p.m. before Chief Public Utility Law Judge Chuck McLean, at the Cordova Fire Department, 11864 Kittys Corner Road in Cordova. The first public comment hearing in this case was held July 15, 2024. Read more
