On Sunday, December 19, 2021 at approximately 11:30 a.m., Talbot County 9-1-1 Center received a fire alarm notification from the Talbot County Courthouse, 11 North Washington Street, Easton. Upon arrival, fire units from Easton and neighboring fire departments found that a computer located in the Clerk of the Court’s office in the North Wing had caught fire which activated the sprinkler system in that area of the building. Talbot County Government Issues Request for Proposals for Removal of Talbot Boys Monument from Talbot County Courthouse Green

The Talbot County Council, at their September 14, 2021 meeting, adopted an Administrative Resolution entitled “ADMINISTRATIVE RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF TALBOT COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE RELOCATION OF THE TALBOT BOYS STATUE.” The Administrative Resolution authorizes the relocation of the entire Talbot Boys Monument from the Courthouse grounds to the Cross Keys Battlefield near Harrisonburg, Virginia and the County Council has directed County staff to carry out the provisions of this Administrative Resolution. Corrections Case Manager Helps Talbot County Detention Center Inmate Get Her Diploma

Although small in stature, Amanda Tondin, a Case Manager with the Talbot County Department of Corrections, commands respect from her peers and has a huge heart for the inmate population she serves. Recently she helped an 18-year-old female inmate get her high school diploma – an important completer step toward the inmate’s future. Read more
